Picture from Media Info
Although I recorded the podcast yesterday and uploaded it to the Internet Archive, I hadn't had the time (or couldn't be arsed) to set up the blog page I had a bit of a rush job on this morning before going for lunch. I had to embed the player and add each picture and link to the bands, write the set list and post the whole thing out before doing the advertising. Considering I had rushed out the page and the social media blast the initial listening figures were worth it because within half an hour I had almost half of the total audience that last week's podcast had for the week. Thankfully the musicians are sharing it on their social media so depending on their following a fair amount of people are seeing it.
Now that the live show is working I am looking into getting another monthly residency in another city, not somewhere miles away although it would depend on how long it takes to travel there and back. I fancy London but there's a lot going on down there anyway and it might be a harder job to get it off the ground. Sheffield and Leeds are close enough and have a good live music reputation, and are close enough while at the same time not too close for it to clash like Derby for example.
The Sunday Alternative name is something I am looking forward to continuously building with the podcast as the main focus going out weekly. Aside from the monthly live shows (I only want to do two a month otherwise I'll never have a Sunday off) I am also giving serious consideration to a record label. But that might have to wait until next year.
The Sunday Alternative #53 is available from here.

August housekeeping
We are now in the eighth month of the year and at a standstill as far as work is concerned. In unrelated news, it is my birthday on the 27th of this month so a nice present would be a donation using the PayPal button. This would be spent on creating podcasts, documentaries, short films, comedy sketches and various other entertainments that I will make available to enjoy online for free.
The above t-shirt and bag is also available to buy, all the money goes to the same creative fund. They are on my shop page.
I'll play you a kazoo song request, find out how here.
