While I don't want to give up on my ambitions, it is becoming more and more apparent that my wish to get a couple of filming projects out of the way this year simply isn't going to happen unless a miracle occurs. Next year's to-do list contains very little so hopefully I can make a decent fist of it as I enter my forties. If I concentrate on getting 2015 out of the way with podcast projects and other audio stuff then at least I will have achieved something. Actually that isn't accurate as I won't make any progress on Moonage Daydream this year which is a shame as I rather ambitiously decided I would be able to record four episodes, forgetting of course that each edition takes so long to write and research before I get round to recording it. This is why I am always late for things, that same over ambitious thinking makes me think that I can get anywhere in five minutes.
As I have two audio books to record and a special end of year podcast I will have quite a lot to show for 2015, which I will save for a blog later in the year. A lot of next year will be filming related and I am wondering to myself whether to take some time out from the weekly podcast to get on with it, on the other hand I had to fight to get the ratings back up after taking a month off a little while back. The monthly gig will hopefully carry on through next year so I will probably continue to do the podcast too as it doesn't take too long to record and it is a great way to be introduced to new music.
Maybe my forte is my voice and as such I should cut my losses and continue to be good at one thing which is the podcasts; The Sunday Alternative is enjoying higher and higher listening figures and I have ideas for other things but my classic problem has come back into play. This is the fact that I keep having new ideas throughout the year which pile on, another aspect is finding people reliable enough to work with.
