Maybe it is a psychological desire to get this fucking awful year out of the way before anyone else dies or the world ends, but today I bought my diary for next year. I usually favour a pocket diary to carry in an inside pocket but for 2017 I have opted for an A4 size desk diary that I can leave open on my desk and know what my week entails at a glance (I always go for the week to view).

I already have the first two recording dates for The Random Saturday Sessions sorted for January and February, and will be recording a monthly audio podcast to ride alongside the video series. As always everything is colour coded depending on what it is so I am already organised. I am anticipating a busy year for 2017 as I always do until it gets to May and I realise it's the same story as the year before. There are projects that have been stunted thanks to either lack of funding or just being let down by people at the last minute. With regards to funding then next year is going to be the time that people have to get their acts together and drop something in the pot. Last year I suggested making a New Year's Day donation of £3.65, working out to one pence a day in return for a free weekly edition of The Sunday Alternative (with an extra episode on Bank Holiday Mondays), a free monthly Random Saturday Sessions podcast and countless videos, a daily blog, and several other things I just choose to throw your way such as my exciting photo blogs.

Aside from the free entertainment that the world gets to enjoy for free, I am hoping to devote more time to paid engagements so am putting out the feelers for speaking gigs and several other ideas that Broadway Cinema haven't yet stolen from me.

The important thing to remember though, is that by making a donation using the PayPal donate button you are mainly helping to keep both regular podcasts going and free to listen to. More money in, more money spent on bigger projects that will be made available to everyone, imagine how warm instead that will make you feel.
