As far as I can make out, no bands announced today that they are splitting up, so in your face We Do Not Come From London, those inept coppers can't touch me today. Maybe it is for the best that I have a day off, especially with Hockley Hustle coming up as I don't want to be blamed for the whole thing falling apart.

Today my attention returned to highlighting the need for a change in the law regarding how we behave at the bus stop. This morning I was the last person to arrive just as the bus was in the distance. Six other people were waiting but not really paying attention, so I felt that I had no choice but to take the lead and show a bit of initiative, so I put my arm out. My fellow bus passengers were sitting or huddled in the shelter which put me first in line to board the bus. As far as I was concerned I was the arm, and according to the rules of the arm, I was entitled to get on the bus first. This was met with grumbles from the rest of the bus stop, in particular one woman who took exception.

The bus driver didn't get involved so I found a seat and waited to be taken into the city centre. My fellow passengers were not going to let this go, loudly accusing me of jumping the queue and asking me to apologise. I pointed out that I did the arm despite being the last person at the bus stop. Of course I acknowledged that the last person at the bus stop had absolutely no authority to do the arm, but I had stepped up because nobody was paying attention and had it not been for my actions, the bus would have sailed past us. If anything they should be thanking me for taking the lead and not trying to publicly humiliate me for being an ill-mannered queue jumper. Time after time I explained that getting on the bus first is the arm's privilege, and if they had been acting properly then they would have already elected an arm way before I arrived at the bus stop.

Maybe the time is right for the bus companies to get on this and start raising awareness of the arm's responsibilities. Why should it fall to me to try and maintain order? This fucking argument and haranguing lasted all the way into town and I was made out to be the bad guy, when I should have been thanked by these people. I should have filmed or recorded this journey because then I could have put it online and gained some support.

Remember when you are at the bus stop, nominate someone to be the arm. Arm gets on the bus first, end of discussion.
