When I have finalised the bill for my gigs I always set up a conversation on Facebook Messenger to enable us to sort things out such as who is bringing what instruments and the time I would like everyone there. The conversation between the Hockley Hustle players has somehow inspired us to make a promotional video which with a quick bit of organising will be taking place on Saturday. It was Gerry Trimble who came up with the idea and I have managed to dial down his vision involving car chases and explosions and come up with a day of guerilla gigging around Hockley.

Gerry will be representing City of Kites, and joining him will be Paul Wentworth from The Amber Herd, and Cibele at the time of writing this blog with interest from others slowly creeping in to hopefully make a good day of it. We aren't organising anything other than the time we are meeting up and intend to play (if allowed) in shops, cafes, bars and anywhere else that will have us. I'll be filming it on a zero budget and releasing it as soon as possible. For speed it is going to be an all acoustic set up with nothing plugged in and only using the sound from the camera, no boom microphones or fancy button pressing, just raw music. It is a project that has got everyone excited as we will be having our own warm up Hockley Hustle which will either be a huge success or will go down like a sack of shit but if you don't try then you don't know. Most of today has been spent with messages going backwards and forwards when I should really have been working but maybe the best ideas are the ones that you just jump in and get on with rather than doing too much preparation.
