While I wait for the go-ahead to make the Saturday Breakfast pilot I have decided to put out some zero budget videos on my YouTube channel to raise awareness of the need to donate to the PayPal account. A few days ago I wrote about my intention to film myself reciting 'Shut Up and Listen' as a poem and I have today written the outline of a script. I don't want it to look too scripted and I am no good at reading aloud to camera so I am only really writing bullet points and improvising the rest, although obviously I will be reading the poem from a piece of paper. Another video I have sketched an outline for is my prediction for this year's Future Sound of Nottingham popularity contest. I am not yet aware of the list of finalists so I will have to hang fire a little bit longer. Chances are I will release the video on the Sunday morning prior to the final on the night with a follow up video to be recorded and released as soon as I get home afterwards.
I will be recording these two things next week hopefully, and will be using my camcorder and simply filming them in 'selfie' fashion so I hope to have them both ready fairly soon. Aside from this I have also started (again) recording the Bowie Day audio book and trying to assess my workload while the podcast is in hiatus as I try and sort out the technical shit still hanging over it. There are other projects bubbling around so I am trying to shake myself out of the slump that I find myself in at the moment. Completing this year's to-do list might not be possible but there are a few additional things I can do to make up for it and swap some things over from next year's list. The monthly gigs will hopefully continue so at least I will have something productive to appease myself by the end of the year.
No podcast this week.
