One of the great things about what I do these days is total artistic freedom. Aside from the newspaper stuff, I am my own boss. The radio show is my baby that I can basically do anything I like with, nobody interferes. Even with LP Box, I haven't been told that I can't do a certain album because of content, (the edition about Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols for example contained the fucks-and-all full interview with Bill Grundy).

The Internet has opened up the opportunity to just go ahead and do something if you think it's a good idea. I still think for example that Covermount should be a radio show, but it is so hard to explain the idea to people that it becomes far easier to tell people to listen for themselves. There are other podcasts in the pipeline that I can record from home now I have a studio. These again are ideas for what should be on the radio, but rather than hawk it round, it will be available to listen to straight away.

The only problem is that podcasts do not earn me any money, so please consider that fact when listening. Or consider it while reading this blog, there is the donate button above this blog, or you could just click on the adverts above.

I often have ideas for events that sound too ridiculous to actually do anything with, and don't know how to even attempt to pitch them. But I did come up with an idea, set up pretend events of Facebook and ask people to join and share if they think it a good idea. So far, I have three events that I thought might have legs. It would appear however, that my vision isn't shared, as very few people share my opinion that a live disco playing only Top Of The Pops albums is something that would work. More people rated that idea than Kids Party For Grown Ups, or Muppets Disco. Do you see that drawing board? I'm going back to it right now.
