I’ve recorded another Charles
Dickens Christmas audio book, A Christmas Goblin,
so that and A Christmas Tree will be available to
download for a small fee, and you also have the option to download A Christmas
Tree on its own for free or pay what you like (I say, pay what you like).
Please do consider paying something as the money will go into the pot to be used
to fund more creative projects. In fact while we’re on the subject, while
you’re reading this blog why not take your curser to the PayPal but above and
click that mouse to make a donation? You’ll be paying for free content for
everyone; podcasts, documentaries, short films, comedy sketches, all sorts. It
can be your legacy. I’ve also started recording the audio book of my brother’s
novel Whatever Happened To Nathan McKenzie?,
which will be available for the Christmas market. If you’re buying someone an
MP3 player, imagine how pleased they’ll be when it comes pre-loaded with
several audio book titles. Never mind them, imagine how pleased I’ll be.
Mandi and I are currently
watching the first series of Frasier, having
recently bought the first four series on DVD. This was Mandi’s recommendation
as I had never seen it, for some reason it passed me by. Oddly enough I was a
big fan of Cheers, where the character first
appeared, yet Mandi was never a fan. Weird.
There are several things I can
identify with from this show, although I’m not sure if that’s why I like it. I
have never driven a bus but I like On The Buses.
Frasier works for a radio station and is something of a local celebrity who
uses his show to open doors for him. He likes to breakfast in peace and read
his newspaper uninterrupted. He can be very snobbish about his cultural tastes
and looks down on people he considers beneath him. But apart from that I can
identify with it a bit.
