Due to my overlapping work
plan I am now recording the audio book and writing a short film at the same
time. The short film, working title The Record Store Day Video,
is coming along fairly easily but will need a few more locations than I first
thought. Thankfully I still think I can film the whole thing over a maximum of
two days. The next thing on my work plan is a six part podcast series to be
written and recorded so I can do that at home, again it won’t be released until
next year so I do have a bit of a time buffer if I need it. The stalemate
regarding The Sunday Alternative video sessions
might soon be at an end too, I have a meeting planned for next week so I just
have to keep my fingers crossed. As for Saturday Breakfast, I am not sure if
that will happen, at least not this year which is a bit of a pisser but it has
at least given me the possibility of going further afield and doing it in a
city that understands how I want to help the local music scene rather than be
their enemy. A few of my plans for next year don’t involve Nottingham at all
and others aren’t Nottingham-centric so can take place anywhere.
I’ve managed three audio book
chapters today, which isn’t really a great headway as the book is like a time
travel War and Peace that never seems like
ending. At the moment I have several scenes written for The Record
Store Day Video which I have cut up and intend to fit together in an
order that suits, a bit like David Bowie’s cut-out words method of songwriting.
Whether or not this works will remain to be seen.
