I spent another night in my office ticking yet another task from my to-do list, this time I completed the Mixcloud profile The Robin Hood Sessions, the stand alone podcasts of my live sessions for The Sound of Nottingham UK. That is apart from one as I couldn’t find the final one that The CTRL recorded. For a band that I have supported so much, I can’t imagine that I wiped it so it must be somewhere. If worst comes to the worst then I can make a recording from the actual show that it broadcast on so all is not lost, I just need a while going through all my memory sticks as I seem to have shifted it somewhere. By the end of the night of work I was able to once again scribble something out and note in my diary that I had done something productive.

I wanted to be awake during the night and keep an eye on Twitter for obvious reasons. It was on this day last year that the world suddenly got very excited over David Bowie breaking a ten year silence to release ‘Where Are We Now’. With today being Bowie’s birthday I just wondered if another surprise was forthcoming, which of course it wasn’t. Today was the day that I had intended to release my book with David Bowie as a character, which of course was completely impossible given that I only thought of it before Christmas. I’m slowly working on it with a view to releasing it on this date next year, along with an audio book, so of course he will leap out of hiding once again and totally upstage me just as he did last year.
