A meeting this afternoon about something that I have had kicking around as an idea since 2006, when I devised an online project called The Pod. The idea was to present a music show in a bare studio, and upload it as a visual podcast, an Internet television show if you like. Although a brilliant idea in theory, in 2006 it was almost impossible to pitch because such a concept didn't really exist beyond little clips on YouTube. It shows how far we have come, as people are no longer frightened/confused/disparaging when it comes to the concept of podcasting as a medium. While the new project won't be visual, it is as close as I have come to actually seeing The Pod become a reality.
