Today was a day spent in the office recording Whatever Happened To Nathan McKenzie? intending to have the whole thing finished before knocking off. I did a satisfying amount of chapters but underestimated how long it would take me, which tells me I might not get through this list I have made for myself before the close of play on Monday night.

I woke up when Mandi left the house for work and unfortunately fell back to sleep for a little while and had to go to the shop before I could get started to buy pet food. As an incentive to get started and to start the day in style I treated myself to a bacon and egg cob from the sandwich shop near our house and sat at the kitchen table to eat it while Jack had his food as he doesn’t like eating alone, (I spoil that dog) and read the paper. The book is a long and complicated one but as many chapters as I record it doesn’t seem to be going down.

Once he had eaten I thought it only fair to take Jack for a walk and toilet use, so went over to the park for an hour to clear my head for the day before me. There were a few false starts and fuck ups that set me back a little, so I didn’t get round to recording The Sunday Alternative podcast as I had wanted to. This means I will have to do that on Sunday morning which I don’t really like doing but I am determined to try and keep Saturday as a none-working day.

I was interrupted at noon by the people who had come round to take a television away, a charity shop took it although I was glad that they didn’t want to test it given that Mandi had disconnected all of the boxes and stuff so there was nothing that could actually come out of it. They didn’t want to take the stand as there is a bit of damage to it, seemingly forgetting that they are a charity shop and not Sotheby’s and as such should be a little bit more grateful for any donations they receive.

Although I achieved quite a bit today I was still disappointed that I couldn’t finish the whole audio book and get it ready for release. By the end of the day my throat was killing me and I was sick of the sound of my voice. You can add your own hilarious response to that.
