The working week caught up with me at some point last night, aided no doubt by the two (yes two, I’m like a member of Motley Crue and should really calm down) bottles of beer I washed my pizza down with. The BBC4 programme about banned records ended and it was followed by a Top of the Pops Two style compilation of the songs we’d just watched being mentioned. I don’t remember the ending and woke up to the sound of Mandi getting ready for work (I was going to be out of the house all day so she decided to pull in some time-and-a-half) so went upstairs to try and catch an hour in bed. With the sunshine coming in through the window (stupid blinds, why don’t people have thick curtains anymore?) it was impossible, perhaps because I was aware of how much I had to do before leaving the house.

Before I leave the house at half past eleven I have to take Jack to the park, have breakfast, wash the pots, sort out the laundry, have a shower and record this week’s Sunday Alternative podcast. I had about three hours in total and it wasn’t enough, actually it was plenty but I couldn’t be bothered doing the podcast, thinking instead that I’ll record it tomorrow when I eventually wake up. My other option is to record it after I have written the review of today’s Waterfront Festival, which couldn’t be more doubtful.
