Saturday 13th July

In November it will be five years since I wrote a blog about the closure of Woolworths, and incurred the wrath of a few people on Myspace (that shows how long ago it was) who took offence and waged a campaign of hate against me. Those involved seem to have stopped now, at least as far as I know seeing as I can't see their Facebook pages and they don't tweet to my knowledge, just in time for me to upset someone else.

Last night I was talking to a musician friend of mine, (one of my best friends in fact, and we text or Facebook message every day), who has recently parted company with two members of his band. I'm not naming names, but you might possibly know who I'm talking about. He is in a band with his brother, (again no names) and they recently lost their guitarist and drummer for reasons I don't want to repeat. Apparently this has annoyed those that I mentioned in a less than complimentary way. My friend warned me that they might be in touch with me as they were very annoyed. I replied that this sounded like the least threatening mafia warning ever, and I'll keep an eye out for a My Little Pony head in my bed.

In my defence, I didn't actually say anything that wasn't true. So if they are that annoyed, then they should channel that annoyance towards their own attitudes and maybe one day thank me for showing them the error of their ways. Besides, it is only my opinion and a person's opinion cannot be refuted as it belongs to the individual and wasn't presented as fact.

All this took me briefly away from my work today, but I soon caught up. The main task of the day was recording this weekend's edition of The Sound Of Nottingham UK and send that over, I can't believe it was the 47th show. I'm pleased that the show is doing well, and I hope to start doing some exclusive live sessions for American airplay soon, after some struggle to get this off the ground. There's a load more music related projects to hopefully start up soon, but I seem to be fighting to get things started at the moment.
