After the show last night, once I'd eaten and showered and was comfy, I put out an appeal on Facebook (how very retro, who remembers Facebook?) and tagged all the musicians and promoters on my friend list. In a weird twist, it appears that I actually know most of the people that I had been looking for. At first I felt a little embarrassed about my ignorance, but then again I wasn't involved in the local music scene when I first moved back to Nottingham, so I wouldn't know their names and details. The fact that everyone is going to be so easy to contact means that this project can be completed at a reasonably fast pace.
I'm not doing any work this weekend, (and why should I, self-employed people don't get time and a half for Saturday or double time on Sunday), so I have been rattling through some work so I don't fall even further behind. I recorded this weekend's edition of The Sound Of Nottingham UK tonight so that I don't have it to do tomorrow night. Mandi and I haven't been spending a great deal of time together just lately, and sometimes we only meet up in the bedroom. We're both incredibly busy and there is no sign of let up. This weekend, we are spending time together, and career can wait.
