We managed to monumentally fuck up our sleeping patterns today, by making the mistake of going to bed for a kip (yes a kip, stop sniggering at the back) at about seven o'clock last night. At half past twelve this morning I woke up, and there was no way I was going back to sleep. Why I was daft enough to think I could recharge my batteries this way so late in the day I will never know. Afternoon naps are called afternoon naps for a reason, once you cross over the barrier into early evening, you only have yourself to blame for turning your sleeping pattern upside down. When I say I only have myself to blame, I actually blame Mandi for having the idea in the first place, nothing is ever my fault of course. It gave us chance to watch Eastenders on iplayer, along with some other Christmas catch up stuff, and I went back to bed at about six o'clock this morning.

I so deeply wanted to leave anything work related alone for a bit longer, as it is technically still Christmas. But on the other hand, I do have two radio shows and a brand new podcast to think about. Rather than get my knickers in a twist about it, I have decided to split the radio tasks over two days. Today was part one, in which I sourced all the music I was going to need and prepared lists of what I was going to play. Tomorrow I'll record The Sound Of Nottingham UK and The Maze podcast at the same time, and I discovered that I could effectively kill two birds with one stone by using the same artists over both shows. I have a fresh hour for Robin Hood Radio, and enough music to make the podcast. What will happen if you listen to both shows, is you'll have already heard the band but not the song. Looking for the music I shaved about two hours work off this way. The Maze podcast should hopefully only be about half an hour, and the Robin Hood Radio show an hour, (or 58 minutes-a radio hour), so all I need to do is remember which one I'm doing and hopefully I won't fuck things up too much.

I might have to add "hopefully I won't fuck things up too much" to the list that already includes "it's okay, this watch is waterproof", and "this will be the best Christmas Walford has ever seen".
