The darts player Jocky Wilson died last night, and although I'm not a fan of darts, I was a fan of the game show Bullseye as a kid. This is why I have heard of Wilson and several other darts players. On the radio today I heard someone mention that the BBC dropped a clanger when Dexys Midnight Runners performed 'Jackie Wilson Said' on Top Of The Pops, by displaying a picture of Jocky Wilson, and didn't that make the BBC look like a bunch of idiots. NO!
The thing was a joke set up by Dexys, not an error by the BBC, I thought we all knew this by now.

After we had Sunday lunch at my dad's, Mandi and I went to the Arboretum to feed the ducks with some stale hot cross buns. There weren't many ducks around, but one female ate a lot of our offerings. I wondered if it might be because she was pregnant, as it might be duckling season very soon. I might be wrong, I'm not Bill Oddie so what do I know? As I'm not a duck expert, I was unable to identify the strange duck that managed to swim underwater. The sight of ducks with their head in the water and bum in the air is a common one, but swimming underwater is a new one on me. The little bugger wouldn't stay still long enough for me to photograph it, and when I got a good shot, it swam right into the sun's reflection.

Sunday is of course radio day, and so I set about preparing the show. Erik is unavailable, but I have a stand in co-host from another Trent Sound show. Bainy from Notts Live Radio is joining me tonight, and I am going to try and instigate a week of double act crossovers. It's what the listener wants. Maybe.
