A bit late, but doesn't this look nice and Christmassy?
I can't believe how well our little tree is doing, it didn't even shed a needle when we had it in the house. It has been sitting, (or standing I suppose), in our back yard since January 6th when the decorations came down. Even now, almost a month on from the end of Christmas, it is in fine health and hopefully this will continue until it is time to bring it inside and decorate it again. Last Christmas was far too sunny and warm, which is perhaps why I had a struggle to 'feel' the festive season. I hope I'm not the only person who contemplated dragging the boxes of Christmas decorations down.
Today was the penultimate day of the L.S. Lowery exhibition at the Lakeside Art Centre, which has been going on since November. Obviously I have had plenty of time to see this, so it was my procrastination that was to blame. I took my dad with me, (Mandi likes to have a long lie in and a relaxing 'do nothing' sort of day on a Saturday, after a long week at work), and when we got there the queue was immense. I'm not a fan of queueing at the best of times, but when you get to the end of a queue and see a sign telling you it is a forty minute wait from this point, and that not everyone in the queue will get allowed in next, and they have an hour in the exhibition, you know it is going to be a long afternoon. We unanimously decided it just wasn't worth the hassle
The weather forecast had predicted a snowfall by the afternoon, which didn't seem likely to be honest. However, you all know the outcome of that.
I wasn't sure if I would make it to the Trent Sound studio for my spot on Nottingham LACE, but I arrived in time for the last half hour and gave a reasonable performance. As of this week, I am writing a weekly blog for the LACE page on the Trent Sound website.
In the car park, we decided to have an after show bit of snow fun.
