Old fashioned clothes pegs, which you can only seem to buy from craft shops.

Paint the pegs red, but not the heads.

Allow to dry

Little bit of glue to stick cotton wool beards on. Draw eyes on with black felt tip.

Wrap a little crepe paper around the head and glue, and also glue a little cotton wool ball to the top.

There you have it, festive pegs to hold your Christmas cards. The butter pot was just something I grabbed from the kitchen cupboard to give us somewhere to dry the painted pegs out. Other brands are available.
