This morning we found a nice bench in the sun in Leeds, along what should be called, if it isn’t, the High Street. As we were sat there, a young busker was setting out his stall and tuning up. Tuning up became his way of padding out his act. He eventually got started with 'Sunshine Of Your Life' followed by 'All Along The Watchtower'. He then did 'Layla', the unplugged version and I gathered up a bit of change to give Emily to put in his guitar case.
Then he broke into a familiar riff,
Dang, da da dang,
Dang alangalangalang lang
“Whoo ohh oh ohhaa!”
I told Emily to go to his guitar case and retrieve our money.
“Why?”
“Because he’s playing 'All Right Now'…”
"So?"
"It's FREE!"
