A Little Birdhouse In Your Soul
Find an old wooden sewing box on a skip outside your house.
Give it a bit of a clean, it has been on a skip after all.
Saw some wood.
Chop up an estate agent's 'For Sale' sign, you'll see why in a bit. You can find these in gardens of houses that are for sale.
Dig a hole in the grass
Attach the sewing box to a square of wood to fashion a patio for the birds to enjoy the sunshine.
Knock the wood into the hole.
Have yourselves a well earned break.
Remove the handles from the sewing box
Sign writing. That's what we needed the old sign for!
Nail the patio board to the wooden pillar.
Closed means there is no bread for the birds. Bad times!
Open means there's bread-a-plenty. Good times!
And I declare this bird table open!
