A nice lie in to celebrate the fact that it is Saturday. What? It’s Friday? This weekend is too hard isn’t it? Even though today is a Bank Holiday I had planned a day working in my office. I’m not sure what the pay rate is for Good Friday, but I didn’t earn it today. Spare a thought for the self-employed, no double time for me!

The main thing I had to do was to record the American show and get that sent over, plus I wanted to catch up on the blog and finally do the blogs for The Sunday Alternative and The Sound of Nottingham UK. I also have to bring the Mixcloud and Soundcloud profiles up to date, reply to a mountain of emails, and generally try and chip away at my to-do list. What I decided to do instead was take Jack over the park and play fetch. I recently bought him a new ball throwing thing and we hadn’t tried it out yet. I lost his old one a while ago, (when I had a row with the twat who ignored the code of conduct at the park), and I have missed watching Jack’s utter delight at running after a ball and the fact that he seems to be smiling the whole time. The new ball thrower is a lot better than the old one, as the old one was a solid structure, whereas this new one has a bendy springy bit (science term) which gives it that little extra kick when you throw the ball. We spent a lot longer than anticipated on the park, which meant that the rest of my day was spent doing the radio show that I had done very little preparation for.

Once the show had been sent over I took Jack to the park again and played with the ball until he was tired out.
